The Scripps Howard First Amendment Center in the School of Journalism and Telecommunications at the University of Kentucky College of Communication and Information annually recognizes a Kentuckian who has made an outstanding contribution to the First Amendment.

Promoting Public Trust: a DVD outlining for public officials their responsibilities under Kentucky’s Open Records and Open Meetings laws. The DVD features Attorney General Jack Conway, media attorneys Jon Fleischaker and Jeremy Rogers, retired journalist Al Smith and is emceed by KET’s Rene Shaw. Assistant Attorney General Amye Bensenhaver and Jeremy Rogers assisted with the script.
